About Ipravent Respules
Ipravent Respules are a medication primarily used to treat respiratory conditions such as Asthma and Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease (COPD). They contain the active ingredient Ipratropium bromide, which belongs to a class of drugs called anticholinergic bronchodilators.
Uses and Benefits
Ipravent Respules are also used in the treatment of asthma, especially chronic forms, and in patients who might have diminished cardiac reserve.
Asthma is a condition where the airways narrow and swell, causing difficulty breathing, coughing, and wheezing.
In some cases, it may be used to relieve bronchospasm (narrowing of the airways) during or after surgery, or during assisted ventilation with a respirator.
How Ipravent Respules works
Ipravent Respules work by blocking the action of acetylcholine on muscarinic receptors in the airways. This prevents the muscles around the airways from contracting.
Also reduces mucus production, ultimately leading to bronchodilation and easier breathing for individuals with conditions like COPD and asthma.
