The OneTouch Select Plus Test Strips (Device) are primarily used for monitoring blood glucose levels in individuals with diabetes. The primary use of these test strips is to measure blood glucose levels.

How it works

The OneTouch Select Plus Test Strips work using a technology known as electrochemical biosensing, which is the standard mechanism for modern blood glucose meters.

When the blood sample is applied to the strip, the blood’s glucose immediately mixes with the Glucose Oxidase enzyme on the strip.

Directions for Use

• Gather your OneTouch Select Plus glucometer, test strips, a lancing device, and a clean tissue or cotton ball.
• Wash your hands thoroughly with soap and water. Dry them completely to ensure accurate results.
• Take a test strip from the vial and insert it into the glucometer.
• Make sure the strip is oriented correctly (the contact bars should face the meter).
• Load the lancing device with a new lancet and adjust the depth setting if necessary.

Safety Information

Use the OneTouch Select Plus Test Strips only with the OneTouch Select Plus Simple glucometer. Using them with other devices may lead to inaccurate results.

Always check the expiration date on the test strip vial before use. Expired strips may provide inaccurate readings. Do not reuse diabetes test strips. Each strip is designed for a single use only.

Storage

Store the strips in a cool, dry place at controlled room temperature, typically between 5∘C and 30∘C (41∘F and 86∘F). Do not refrigerate.
