About Tiova Inhaler
Tiova Inhaler is a prescription medication used for the long-term, daily management of chronic respiratory diseases, primarily COPD and Asthma in some cases.
The active ingredient in the Tiova Inhaler is Tiotropium Bromide. Tiotropium is classified as a long-acting muscarinic antagonist (LAMA), which is a type of anticholinergic bronchodilator.
Uses
Asthma: It may be prescribed for the long-term, once-daily maintenance treatment of asthma, often in patients aged 6 years and older.
COPD: It is widely used to manage the symptoms of COPD, including chronic bronchitis and emphysema. Regular use helps to improve lung function and reduce the frequency of COPD exacerbations.
How it works
Tiotropium blocks the action of acetylcholine, a natural substance in the body that can cause the muscles around the airways to constrict. By relaxing these muscles, the Tiova Inhaler helps to open up the air passages in the lungs, making it easier for air to flow in and out.
